The Jr. Hat Tricks opened up the 2021-22 season on Wednesday, and they fell short to the Northeast Generals, 3-1. They played a solid all-around game, pumping out nearly 40 shots on goal.

Josh Seeley was outstanding between the pipes, saving 37 of 40 shots, but it wasn’t quite enough to secure the win.

“The guys had a good first game, their energy and compete level was where I wanted it to be,” head coach Billy McCreary said. “Couldn’t get the bounce we needed to get the win but I’m happy with how our guys played tonight.”

Mike Salandra was the sole Hat Tricks scorer tonight, deflecting a net-front pass to make it a 2-1 game in the second period.

The Hat Tricks host the Generals again tomorrow night, Thursday, September 9 at 7 p.m.

Following tomorrow night’s game, the Hat Tricks will be headed to Minnesota for an NAHL showcase, where they will play four games in four days.
